FAST IMAGING

I used my EXILIM F1 camera, 60 frames per second, to capture raindrops falling onto my asphalt driveway. Notice the raindrops still in flight as well as the craters.

Raindrops striking and splashing dark water

I took the following pictures of Charlie Hanf shooting tracer ammunition from a pistol,

A man is playing frisbee in the dark.
A man holding a baseball bat in the dark.
A man standing in the dark holding a bat.
A man standing in the dark holding onto something
A man standing in the dark holding something.

I took these pictures of a BB being shot into a water filled balloon:

A balloon hanging from a rope next to a tree.
A person hanging some kind of object on the line
A person hanging clothes on a line
A person hanging on a clothes line with a string

Fast Imaging bullet visible

Even though my camera captures 60 frames per second, it could not really “freeze” a bullet in flight, but it did capture a “smear” of the bullet in flight. You can see the “smear” passing in front of the 2x4 in the 2nd of the 3 pictures.
